Secateurs Toyama Hamono T22 XL

The T-22 XL is Toyama Hamono's most powerful secateur. The material is stainless steel and each secateur is forged and ground by hand. The result is a secateur of exceptional quality that can handle branches with a diameter of up to 15 mm. The handle is colored by heating in an oven, completely without chemicals, which gives each tool its own unique character.

TOYAMA HAMONO: Toyama Hamono is a family-owned blacksmith shop in Sanjo, Niigata, with roots in the Japanese blacksmithing tradition that took shape during the Edo period . Since 1861, they have been making secateurs, shears and cutting tools using the same techniques used to forge Japanese samurai swords. Today, the company has taken the step into modern product development, with award-winning tools that have been praised for both function and form, and Toyama Hamono secateurs are now used by gardeners all over the world.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS: This model is made of stainless steel. Always wipe the tool clean and dry after use, and oil the steel with knife or sewing machine oil when storing the secateurs for the season. If you want to sharpen the blade yourself – use a whetstone and sharpening tools designed for secateurs. Please note that it is intended for plants only. Improper use may damage the tool. Do not use to cut steel wire, bamboo sticks or very hard wood.
