Tool care - set of 3

Take care of your pruners and shears with Toyama Hamono's maintenance set made in Japan. Repeat maintenance often, especially if you work in rain, fog or dew. A tool that is cleaned after each use, lubricated and sharpened, does not age and maintains its sharpness.

ERASER - Rust and Stain Remover R-3. Effectively removes dirt, rust and stains. Apply to cutting blades and gently scrub along the blades. Rinse and dry thoroughly. Repeat if necessary.

STONE - Sharpening stone R-2. Soak the stone in water for about 15 minutes. Hold at a right angle to the blade and pull the stone towards you in even strokes. Repeat until the blade regains its sharpness.

RUSTOL – Rust-preventing oil R-1. Rust-preventing oil that forms a protective film over the steel. Drop a few drops of oil on joints and hinges after cleaning. Wipe off the excess with a soft cloth.

STEP BY STEP:
1. Clean the blade. Use ERASER to erase dirt and rust. Follow the lines of the blade and rub gently.
2. Restore sharpness. Let the sharpening stone (STONE) rest in water for fifteen minutes. Then hold at a right angle and pull the stone towards you, repeatedly, until the blade shines again. Dry and protect. Make sure the pruner is completely dry. Pay particular attention to joints and hinges.
3. Lubricate with oil (RUSTOL). Drip oil into the joints and hinges, allowing it to penetrate to keep the mechanism smooth. Then wipe off the excess, leaving only a thin, protective film.
